Director Christina Maple said “It’s a real pleasure to support Ben as he looks to embark on a big season ahead in BSB. It would be fair to say that racing is in our blood at Maple, with three generations having competed across various disciplines, including Motorcross, 24-hour endurance, Caterham Circuit Racing and even the odd boat race thrown in for good measure. We have been looking for an opportunity to get involved for a while, so when the chance arose to sponsor Ben, a local lad from Stockport, it seemed the perfect fit. We’re excited to see how Ben progresses this season, we know he is hugely passionate about the sport and can’t wait for the first round at Silverstone.”
Ben began his racing career in 2009, on the Aprilia 125, quickly becoming ApriliaRRV450 Champion in 2014, before moving on to the British Superbike series with G&S Racing in the Superstock 600 championship.
Continuing in the Superstock 600 in 2018 & 2019, Ben joined JR performance, finishing 5th in the championship, while also achieving British Superbike wins, podiums and pole positions. Finally in 2020, after an amazing season, Ben won his first championship, becoming British Superstock 600 Champion with a huge 44-point winning lead!
During the 2023 season, Ben will be competing in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship, onboard a Honda CBR1000RR-SP. Ben said “I’m delighted to be lining up in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship this season. We are running under my own ‘banner’ for 2023 and this wouldn’t be possible without the support from my sponsors. I can’t wait to get started and head out to Spain for testing ahead of the new season.”
