The 3rd October 2024 was a truly memorable night for team Maple, as we won not one but two prestigious awards!!
Firstly, celebrations got underway at the King Power Stadium in Leicester, where Maple won the Innovation Award at the Retail Knowledge Fraud Awards, pitched against some esteemed competition. This award was in recognition of FreightLock & Key Validation, which operators in the retail sector have adopted to combat the risk posed by cargo criminals. The security solution has been successfully implemented by a number of carriers to help protect logistics operations against the now notorious ‘Jump-Up-Theft,’ a tactic that targets final mile deliveries in the retail sector.
Our second awards dinner and accolade of the evening was celebrated at Edgeley Park in Stockport where Maple won the award for Family Business of the Year at the Stockport Business Awards. As a third-generation business which has always remained in the local area, this award felt particularly poignant for the company as we celebrate 50 years in business and is testimony to the passion and enthusiasm of our entire team!
Retail Knowledge run conferences to help retailers, academics and law enforcement agencies tackle crime, both online and in store. Valuable workshops and masterclasses feature top speakers, sharing knowledge and problem-solving skills with delegates and providing great networking opportunities.
The Fraud Awards represent a great opportunity to raise awareness and understanding of the loss prevention challenges currently facing retailers, highlighting common ground and celebrating the very best individual and team performances and strategies, as well as innovative new products, including those experienced within distribution centres and the supply chain.
The Stockport Business Awards were founded by Stockport based business, CN Chartered Accountants back in 2011, to showcase and celebrate business excellence in the region and this year they have received over 100 entries across 13 award categories.
