R&D Technician

We are recruiting for an R&D Technician role. As an integral member of our friendly, focused team you will undertake a valuable and demanding role.

The role is extremely varied and you will need to be able to work under pressure and demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude to assist other members of the team as necessary.

Please note this is a full-time position based at our Stockport Workshop, it does not include working from home. You may however be required to travel & work on site where applicable.

The main duties & responsibilities of the R&D Technician:

  • Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical assembly and manufacture of a variety of components and equipment
  • Working to procedures and instructions
  • Creating and installing sub-assemblies, looms and cables
  • Wiring, soldering and crimping
  • Testing, fault-finding and creating reports
  • Repair and calibration
  • Working both independently and in a team
  • Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues

Quality & key essential skills of the R&D Technician include:

  • Ideally experienced with wiring, mechanical fitting and electrical assembly
  • A background in Manufacture/Production
  • Able to read engineering drawings and BOMs
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Team player
  • A UK driving licence
